1. This firmware package can also be installed with the latest version of Smart Update Manager (SUM).

\n\n

Supplemental updates for supported ProLiant servers and options can be done by using SUM, which is found on the Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP) ISO.

\n\n\n\n

Update the firmware and software in the usual manner.

\n\n

Reboot your system for the update to take effect immediately.

\n\n

2. Flash from iLO GUI

  1. Browse iLO IP using any browser and login using the credential 
    2. \n\t
  2. Make sure the supported adapter is present in the server
    3. \n\t
  3. In the iLO GUI, navigate to Firmware, then select Upload to iLO Repository. Browse for the firmware file and upload it to the iLO repository.
    4. \n\t
  4. In the iLO Repository, click the menu button and select Install. This will add the firmware component to the installation queue.
    5. \n\t
  5. Go to the installation queue and verify that the firmware component has been added.
    6. \n\t
  6. If the firmware component is present in the installation queue, check its status, which should show as "Pending".
    7. \n\t
  7. Reboot the server and verify on the POST page whether the firmware is being flashed.
    8. \n\t
  8. After the firmware flash and reboot, return to the installation queue and confirm that the firmware component status shows as "Complete".
