[08:53:39] <solskogen|M> I've might asked this before, but is the state repo (https://gitlab.archlinux.org/archlinux/packaging/state) handled automatically or is there some manual worked involved?
[08:53:40] <phrik> Title: Sign in · GitLab (at gitlab.archlinux.org)
[08:54:01] <Antiz> solskogen|M: Automatically
[08:59:58] <solskogen|M> I was thinking I could use that repo to look for updates, but there are some discreprencies - for instance the package winetricks are in both extra-x86_64 and extra-any
[09:09:14] -!- Charon77|PC has joined #archlinux-ports
[09:13:02] <jelle|M> Solskogen: its all "automatic"
[09:25:29] <solskogen|M> that explains it, then. sigh
[10:16:22] -!- Charon77|PC has quit [Ping timeout: 243 seconds]
[11:05:09] -!- SpieringsAE_sff has quit [Ping timeout: 240 seconds]
[11:17:59] <jelle|M> Solskogen: what does that mean it explains?
[11:18:10] <jelle|M> pkgctl release creates this all
[11:18:11] -!- SpieringsAE_sff has joined #archlinux-ports
[11:18:22] <jelle|M> that is a manual action
[11:19:07] <solskogen|M> why it is inconsistent - it doesn't properly handle when a package is moved to/from any to/from x86_64
[11:19:31] <jelle|M> something we need to tackle in dbscripts then
[11:19:57] -!- SpieringsAE_sff has quit [Client Quit]

[13:46:55] <nl6720> is there an AArch64 ISO or only the bootstrap tarball? setting up a VM using the tarball is more complicated
[15:05:05] -!- Charon77|PC has quit [Ping timeout: 274 seconds]
[15:37:53] <misyl> Some people have made isos for a few laptops
[15:40:13] <nl6720> I finally got a VM running, so it's not that urgent

[16:44:02] <bschnei> nl6720: mkarchiso (when configured) should build you an ISO. You simply need to point it at the repos you want and tweak profiledef.sh. I use the profile here for v8 packages: https://arch.bens.haus
[16:44:03] <phrik> Title: Index of /iso/profile/ (at arch.bens.haus)
[16:44:56] <bschnei> change pacman.conf there to point to drzee.net repos (and any others you might need if you have device-specific kernels/packages) and it should build you an image
[16:44:57] <nl6720> I already built an ISO :) though, it was painfully slow in a qemu-system-aarch64 VM
[16:45:06] <bschnei> ahhh
[16:45:47] <nl6720> the pacman.conf change is the most simple one. just use `-C /etc/pacman.conf` when running on an existing aarch64 system
[16:45:56] <bschnei> if you have a device that doesn't need all of linux-firmware, you can make very small ISOs
[16:46:17] <nl6720> just for reference, I was trying to test https://gitlab.archlinux.org
[16:46:18] <phrik> Title: add stubble for aarch64 profiles (!449) · Merge requests · Arch Linux / archiso · GitLab (at gitlab.archlinux.org)
[16:46:56] <bschnei> very cool
[16:47:15] <nl6720> this one should be useful too: https://gitlab.archlinux.org
[16:47:16] <phrik> Title: mkarchiso: skip BIOS boot modes on non-x86 architectures (!461) · Merge requests · Arch Linux / archiso · GitLab (at gitlab.archlinux.org)

[16:54:09] <nl6720> bschnei: seeing that '-Xbcj' 'arm64' in profiledef.sh and looking at `mksquashfs -help-all`, I think it should be possible to use '-Xbcj' 'x86,arm64'
[17:16:14] <bschnei> cool. appreciate all your work on this front! it's been super helpful for me personally
