WHAT THIS DOES NOT COVER

The software in this repository -- the generator, the inference pipeline,
the scoring and analysis code -- remains under the MIT License. See LICENSE.
This split (MIT for code, CC BY 4.0 for data) is the conventional one for a
release that is both a dataset and a toolchain.

A NOTE ON THE EARLIER MIT GRANT

Before 2026-09-29 this repository stated MIT for the data files as well as
the code, while the Hugging Face dataset card stated CC BY 4.0. This file
resolves that inconsistency in favour of the split described above.

Nothing here revokes anything. Any MIT grant already received for these data
files stands; a permission once given under an irrevocable license cannot be
withdrawn, and no attempt to withdraw it is made or implied. If you obtained
these files under MIT, you may continue to rely on MIT. Going forward the
data files are offered under CC BY 4.0, whose attribution requirement is
substantially the same obligation.

SEED SOURCES

AdverseMed-500 items are newly written. They were drafted from public
MedQA-style seeds and each item is anchored to a publicly accessible
reference document (an FDA label section, a CDC/ACIP guideline, or a US
specialty-society statement); three items also cite UpToDate, which is
subscription-only. If you reuse material derived from the MedQA, MMLU-Med or
PubMedQA seed corpora, cite those sources under their own terms as well.
