# compactq-native

Optional Rust acceleration kernels for
[compactq](https://pypi.org/project/compactq/) — the verified quantum
circuit optimizer.

Installing this package upgrades compactq from its zero-dependency
pure-Python engine to the native pass kernels:

- **~4x faster KAK hot path** (two-qubit block resynthesis)
- **302 ms → 25 ms** on parity-heavy re-synthesis
- **exact-proof ceiling 6q → 8q** for the dense numerical prover

compactq detects and uses these kernels automatically when installed —
there is nothing to configure, and everything falls back silently to
pure Python if the wheel is missing (compactq's core keeps zero
dependencies by design).

## Install

```bash
pip install compactq[native]
```

## Wheels

abi3 wheels (one per platform, all CPython ≥ 3.9): Windows x86_64,
manylinux x86_64, macOS arm64. Other platforms build from source with
[maturin](https://www.maturin.rs).
